Ugandan native, Justine Nantale brought a taste of the Southern hemisphere to BelloBar last week.
Nantale, a founding member of the Discovery Gospel Choir, and her troupe of African dancing performed a passionate and touching show, complete with dance, storytelling and traditional song. With musicians from Uganda, Botswana, Congo, Nigeria, Nantale and her band gave authentic, traditional taste of the flavours of Africa.
A wonderful tribute to the man himself. Featuring brilliant performances from The Ragmen, The Annulments and The Brand New Switcheroo not to forget the various other performers, Hugo Newman, Robert Ardiff, Roger Doyle and Joey Gavin, who hopped up on the stage, all to musically wish Old Bob a Happy 73rd Birthday.
Each act paid tribute to the man and the legend, exploring the wide spanning musical of journey of Dylan's career (so far) as well as his folk influences, all thankfully with minimal Bob impressions ((Good restraint Lads))
